Week 7 | 10. Dawns Light

I have decided that sunrise is my favorite time of day. However, getting up at that time is a little tough for me. But last weekend, I drove over to Anna Maria Island to meet up with club members Susan, Melody and Dawn to shoot the sunrise. I was the first to arrive and was greeted by the pre-dawn  deep blue sky with Sirius twinkling bright over head. By the time I had found my spot, set up my tripod and camera, the sky was glowing with the colors of the sun rising towards the horizon.

Sirius is what gave is the phrase “the dog days of summer”. Also known as “the Dog Star” Sirius is visible during the hottest months of the year.

Here are a few other images I took on this days adventure.
