Last week, I traveled to Frederick, MD to pack up our house and take care of a few other things for the new owners. One thing I had to do was dispose of the myriad of paint cans that had accumulated over the years; I like color, what can I say. Our county landfill will not take the paint unless it is hardened so I went to the local hardware store and bought a couple of dozen packets of paint hardener to mix with the left over wet paint to accelerate the drying process. So I stood in the garage and mixed the packets into the paint and stood there watching to see how quickly it would dry. I posted a picture to Facebook with the caption “Watching Paint Dry” and the ever-so-smart Diane (you know who you are) commented “There’s your common cliché” – thanks Diane!
