I‘ve been taking pictures of gates for months now in the hope of finding something interesting for this theme. I find gates intriguing; I always wonder whats behind it, where it leads to, how many people have passed through it, and especially in the case of old gates, what the history is. Well I finally settled on what I thought was an interesting gate. I decided to post this one. This is the gate between the conservatory at Marie Selby Gardens and the work area leading to the grow-houses behind. I took this one while at the “Behind the Scenes” workshop in December. I wonder how many people miss this beautiful gate in a dark corner of the conservatory, but there aren’t many who have been it from this angle. This is the other side – from the work area leading back into the conservatory.
